National Federation of Women's Institute

The largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK, they play a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Countryside Access Team - East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The council carries out environmentally, economically and socially sustainable management of countryside sites and Local Nature Reserves owned by the council.

Management incorporates nature conservation, landscape and historical value, education and informal recreation. Northern Fruit Group

The group encourages the growing of fruit in our northern climate and to help individual members to grow their fruit as well as possible.

East Riding Countryside Volunteers

The East Riding Countryside Volunteers travel round all the Local Nature Reserves in the East Riding, and undertake practical conservation work to benefit either the wildlife or the visitors to these special places. If you fancy taking up something, give it a go with us!

East Riding Phoenix

The environmental group Phoenix is for young people aged 12 to19 years. This group also makes a difference to their environment to benefit the wildlife of the reserve, and they are determined to make conservation fun!

Local Heritage Initiative

The Local Heritage Initiative is a national grant scheme that helps local groups to investigate, explain and care for their local landscape, landmarks, traditions and culture. The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) provides the grant but the scheme is a partnership, administered by the Countryside Agency with additional funding from Nationwide Building Society.
