Saucy Liver by Women's Institute

Apple, celery and parnsip soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb liver - lamb or pigs
  • 15 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 oz Bramley apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 4 oz streaky beacon
  • 2 medium onions - sliced
  • 1 clove garlic - crushed
  • ¼ tsp dried mixed herbs
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Step 1
Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan and add the onions, garlic and bacon.

Step 2
Fry until the onions are browning, then add the liver and apples and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3
Stir inthe soup, seasoning and herbs.

Step 4
Cover and cook for 20 minutes until liver is tender.

Step 5
Serve with mashed potato.
